Dr Howard Klapman
Dr. Howard Klapman studied medicine at the University of Illinois Medical School. After he received his M.D. degree, he began a psychiatric residency at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor from 1961-1963. During this time he completed an MA in psychology. After completing his training, Dr. Klapman established his residence and practice in metropolitan Chicago. He has acquired forty years of experience in psychiatry with many patients both as outpatients in his clinic and as hospitalized inpatients. In the sixties, Dr. Klapman served as the psychiatric consultant for a learning disabilities clinic following the outlook of Dr. Getman. Today Dr. Klapman is the director of Child Psychiatry at Lutheran General Hospital near Chicago. As part of his job, he is responsible for the professional preparation of a new generation of psychiatrists. Dr. Klapman also maintains a private practice in the Chicago suburbs.
